Abstract

This work highlights the important influence of education on the conservation and development of minority cultures and languages. And specifically the key function of the teacher, who on many occasions develops exceptionally vocational and heroic behavior. Documentation corresponding to institutions such as the UN and UNESCO has been used, such as the United Nations Proclamation on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples of 2007 and the UNESCO Education Monitoring Report, corresponding to 2019. They have also been consulted various issues of The UNESCO Courier. Its results point to the need to raise the quality of education for minority populations such as migrants and to this end, it is emphasized that it is essential to increase the number of teachers and resources and improve their training and working conditions.
