Abstract

In this work, a documentary study is carried out based on profiles of great thinkers on education published by the prestigious magazine Perspectives, of UNESCO, ISSN 0304-3053 since the eighties of the last century and collected in its volumes XXIII and XXIV corresponding to 1993. and 1994. The editor of this work, then Director General of UNESCO, Zaghloul Morsy set out to present through it in three widely distributed languages the thought of one hundred outstanding educators of all times and cultures. And to create their profiles, they chose specialists with deep knowledge of each author. The ultimate intention of the work would be to create a universal forum for the debate on ideas and works that have promoted educational development throughout the world. In this work this challenge is collected and outstanding thoughts are identified for reflection and educational innovation.
