Abstract

A biobibliographical approach is made to the figure of the classic contemporary Galician author Fina Casalderrey, paying attention to the main thematic lines of her narrative production for children and young adults for the development of literary education. In the juvenile narrative, scientific fiction, adolescent issues and mystery stand out; while the children's narrative is classified into eight thematic categories: respect for animals, family relationships, taboo subjects, discovery of the world, social issues, vital learning, defence of nature and mystery. It is concluded that the success of Casalderrey's long literary career places her at the centre of the canon of Galician Children's and Young Adults Literature, thanks to her own unique poetics, characterised by naturalness, simple language, naivety, tenderness and humour. The study is completed with an interview in which the writer delves into some questions about her personal and professional life and her literary facet.
