Marta Neira is graduated in Filoloxía Galega and Diplomada en Estudios Avanzados by theUniversidade de Santiago de Compostela, she is received the maximum qualification by the her thesis of doctorate in the that attached the questions of gender.

Since it study academic 2009-2010 she is professor of the Escola Unversitaria de Maxisterio de Vigo, centre appointed to the Universidade de Vigo, and since it 2013-2014 interim professor of replacement in the Facultade de Ciencias da Educación of the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela. Previously she was scholar of investigationin the Centro Ramón Piñeiro para a Investigación en Humanidades (period 2003-2006), where continues collaborating in varied projects, and PhD of the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (period 2006-2009).

Secretary of the Red temática “Las literaturas infantiles y juveniles del marco ibérico e iberoamericano” (LIJMI) and member of the group of investigation LITER21 of theUniversidade de Santiago de Compostela, she exerted the charge of treasurer of the Asociación Galego Portuguesa de Investigación en Literatura Infantil e X/Juveni ELOS, section of the Asociación Nacional de Investigación en Literatura Infantil y Juvenil (ANILIJ), since her foundation until the year 2015. She is author of monografias, articles and reviews on Children’s and Young Literature.
