Gender and research in education

Abstract
Research is fundamental to the development of education; consolidates knowledge of educational phenomena, information on the educational reality and make decisions and improve practice. In the research framework becomes increasingly necessary to conduct studies and research that clearly reflect the reality of women and men, it is an essential for inequalities that persist in our society visible element. This paper aims to chart an overview of research on gender and education have been developed in recent years, through the production of doctoral theses.
