Abstract

Animation has not deserved much attention from educators though children watch it many hours per day. Its work as a educator in the shade is undeniable though very it has arise  little interest in the educational field, except when we speak about the dissemination of values. From my view it is important to link animation with Literary Competence as well than Audiovisual Competence, of course, as it is one of the most important sources that feeds this Literary Competence. It contributes to it with literary references, resources, the own conventions of literature that give to Animation a great educational potential from the Literary Education. Students who enter in the formal education have already received a big amount of information about literature through this genre, and we may better not to neglect. In this article I shall show some of the ways animation is linked with the Literary Competence in order to use it as a didactic tool.
