The wolf and fox cycle in the animal stories

Abstract
After describing animal stories, one of the types in which most of the experts divide popular tales, and once presented its different functions, the work is focused on the so-called "wolf and fox cycle". Its characteristics are shown and exemplified by means of this kind of stories which are treated in the work Contos de animais I, by Xosé Miranda, Antonio Reigosa and Xoán Ramiro Cuba, while analyzing the types and motives, and the differences between the oral versions and the rewriting one offered in the children's collection.
