Cincuentenario Verba

The Editorial Board of the journal Verba: Anuario Galego de Filoloxía is pleased to announce the publication of volume 51 of the journal in the year of its fiftieth anniversary. The journal Verba, which since its beginnings has contributed to the dissemination of philological and linguistic research in Galicia, has gradually widened its range of topics and languages, as well as the institutional and regional background of the authors, reviewers and readers. We would like to thank all of them for their collaboration, without which the journal could not have achieved the levels of academic rigor, quality and dissemination it has reached by now. In 1974, in addition to the yearbook with articles, short notices and book reviews, 4 monographic supplements were published, focusing on Galician. Since then, there have been 84 monographs, which offer a representative overview of the philological and linguistic research of the last 50 years, with special attention to the Galician language.
