Abstract
A review of the literature obtained is made after a systematic search of major databases, to answer some questions related clinical disorder attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and especially with treatment. The text seeks to establish the main factors in the pathogenesis, epidemiology, diagnosis, and treatment modes. It is concluded and overdiagnosis of many children as currently diagnosed with ADHD is questioned and under treatment of methylphenidate (Concerta, Ritalin) because of the insatiable pressure of Big Pharma, ignoring other possible diagnoses and/or psychoeducative or systemic therapies.
