A teen love story such as Romeo and Juliet is a big appeal for the cultural industries to use it to get to that target, one of the most interesting from a commercial perspective, and that who renewsthe relevance of this story from one generation to the next. A review through the different adaptations, performances and rewritings made by the mass culture of this story, specially in the lastdecades, we will get to the most recent and innovative: the version made by the Royal Shakespeare Company in 2010 for the social network Twitter. By examining it we will point at the keys of atransmedia storytelling wich, being performative and, somehow, theatrical, it does explore the future possibilities of social networks as a new space for creation.
