Abstract

It is a well-known fact that the imperfective past form does not behave like other past forms. However, the interaction between aspect and quantified expressions has not received much attention in the literature. We will focuses on this interaction. The paper is divided as follows: section 1 introduces the phenomenon that we will analyze; section 2 is devoted to the notion of grammatical aspect; section 3 describes the restriction on imperfective aspect with plural complements; section 4 accounts for that restriction; section 5 contains the conclusions.
