It is well known that crosslinguistically wh- Echo Questions present considerable challenges to traditional theories of syntax of standard wh-interrogatives, since they systematically appear to contradict general claims about question formation, manifesting, for example, wh-phrase in situ. This article presents some novel facts concerning the syntax of Spanish wh- Echo Questions and provides an analysis that accounts for their key syntactic features.
