Télos

Télos, Revista Iberoamericana de Estudos Utilitaristas is a biannual journal founded in 1992. It is published jointly by the Sociedad Iberoamericana de Estudios Utilitaristas ‘Iberoamerican Society for Utilitarian Studies’ (SIEU) and the USC. Télos meets 32 of the 33 Latindex quality criteria and it is indexed in ERIH, RESH, MIAR (ICDS: 6.5/11=Q2), Philosopher’s Index, Repertoire de Louvain, Humanities International Complete, Humanities International Index, RBPH, Ulrich’s International, EBSCO Fuente Academica Premier, DICE, ISOC, DIALNET and REDIB. The digital portal of Télos is published in Galician, Spanish and English; the languages of publication are the Spanish, Portuguese and English, as well as the distinct official languages of the Latin American community.

Se nos ha ido para siempre José Montoya Sáenz, “Pepe” Montoya, para todos los amigos de la SIEU, profesor ilustre y mejor amigo. Catedrático emérito de Filosofía moral de la Universidad de Valencia, anteriormente también de la Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, Catedrático de Filosofía de Bachillerato durante algunos años. Para nosotros, sobre todo, miembro fundador de la SIEU en el año 1990. Experto en Aristóteles y en pensamiento antiguo, especialista también en filosofía moral contemporánea, realizó numerosas aportaciones al conocimiento de la tradición utilitarista clásica. Que recordemos, mientras estuvo en activo participó en todos los congresos de la SIEU que organizamos y en el enorme trabajo de llevar adelante la revista Télos de la que fue coordinador de novedades editoriales. Su presencia fue constante en nuestras vidas durante más de treinta años.

Extraodinary issue dedicated to the SIEU 2023 International Workshop held in person and online at the Industrial Campus (Ferrol, A Coruña, Spain) of the Universidade da Coruña on MARCH 16-17, 2023. This workshop was sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Innovation (MCI) of the Spanish Government, Project RTI2018-093498-B-I00: (GEN)ESIS AND (RED)EFINITION OF THE CONCEPTUAL MATRIX OF THE (U)TILITARIAN (P)ARADIGM OF (R)ATIONALITY. This workshop collected the updated scientific production of the Spanish and Ibero-American teams of utilitarian studies for the period 2021-2023.
