Abstract

This article wants to contribute to the visibilization of women's history, which remained hidden for centuries and still remains partly unknown. Through the account built on the basis of conversations with women with jobs related to the sea, we can get to know how their professions changed from childhood to nowadays; how circumstances and context affected them and how they had to fight to defend their jobs; how their situation was regularized and which that implications meant for them.
