Juan José Varela Tembra

Juan José Varela Tembra is a Doctor in Didactics of Language and Literature by University of Murcia; M. A. in Children's Literature and Reading Promotion by University of Castilla-La Mancha and B. A. in English Language and Literature by Univeristy of Santiago de Compostela. He has researched in the Middlebury College, in the United States and he has taught Spanish as Foreign Language in the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco (Portugal) and University of Santiago de Compostela. His research fields include multicultural Children's and YA literature written in English, Otherness, identities and the discourse of difference in contexts such as TESOL/ELT/EFL/ESL, as well as Spanish as a Foreign Language. He's currently an English teacher on the Lamas de Abade High-School, tutor of the UNED (A Coruña – Ferrol) and guest lecturer at the Instituto Teológico Compostelano (UPSA).
