This paper analyzes two female authorship novels: Tango Urdina, by Aitziber Etxeberria, that specifically deals with abuse, and Aulki Jokoa, by Uxue Alberdi, that addresses the topic of abused women during war times. These two novels have been compared to three contemporary male authorship novels: Zoaz infernura, laztana, by Anjel Lertzundi; Zureak egin du, by Iñaki Friera, and Golgota, by Xabier Montoya.
