Abstract
Far from trying to define the term performance, this paper aims to assess the extent and limits of what is now considered performative. It makes an approach to problematize the body as one of the cornerstones in the research on cultural processes of Postmodernity, confronting different theoretical contributions to arts and cultural proposals of Hispanic area that are made from the body in a wide spectrum (performance art, theater, social action and intervention), showing the continued interconnection and Hybridization of media and genres.
