When we talk about social networks we often take into account technological, communicative and leisure issues. But networks such as Facebook also imply an active participation of their users through the contents they contribute to or take from them. This activity can be seen as the performative realization of a personality in cyberspace. In this article the use of the social network is presented
as discourse in practice: a performance based on the transfer of reality into the Internet.
