La construcción llorar las penas: un nuevo caso de tipología germánica en una lengua romance

Resumen

Este trabajo analiza una construcción transitiva con el verbo llorar (lloró sus penas) en la que se funden dos predicados: la expresión de una emoción, que aparece codificada como objeto, y la manera en la que se produce dicha manifestación (llorar). La construcción es paralela a ciertas construcciones de objeto de reacción inglesas (she laughed her excitement, Levin 1993). En este artículo se realiza un análisis exhaustivo de estas construcciones basado en ejemplos extraídos del Corpus de Referencia del Español Actual. Los datos aportados refuerzan tesis recientes (Beavers et al. 2010, Croft et al. 2010, inter alia) que postulan que las lenguas romances permiten el uso de ciertas construcciones fundidas propias de las lenguas germánicas
