Identities, gender and education: educational memory and the social formation of identity in female educators in Brazil

Abstract
The present work deals with the theme of the gender identity and education as life experience from a perspective of social memory that focuses on primary female educators that exerted between 1920 and 1960 in the State of Bahia in Brazil. The first point analyze the question of identity, identity of gender and education to deepen in the second in the empirical research, and treat with data on the construction of the identity of resilience of educating women at that time and educational social memory of the community where exercised. The analysis it delves in the social meaning and social transformation, if possible, under the perspective of gender identities of its work.
