ICT teachers’ lifelong training in Galicia: do we always trip over the same stone?

Abstract
This paper presents a documentary study about the lifelong training offer inside the ICT Itinerary by Educational Administration of Galicia (Spain). It was analysed the approach and the contents that are prioritized through the decrees that regulate lifelong training, and the information coming from the website of the Regional Centre for Training and Innovations of the Department of Education of the Galicia Board (Spain).
The analysis evidences that training in schools modalities are increasing, but the Course modality is the dominant strategy. The majority offer about ICT comes from an instrumental approach that barely combines technical formative actions with pedagogical and cultural strategies allow to understand and reflect upon the transformations of the contemporaneous society and its implications in education and schools.
