Abstract

Since the democratic transition and especially the nineties, multiple and important changes, reforms and innovations have taken place in our country. They were deployed at all levels and areas of the educational system, of course that of compulsory education, which will be preferably considered in the article. The article offers a panoramic review and balance of changes and innovations in the last three decades. Their emergence and development came from individual and collective initiatives, as well as from politics of educational reforms by different governments. The text consists of three sections. The first frames the notion of innovation and proposes certain criteria to carry out the intended balance. The second, which will be the most extensive, offers a wide range of innovations and the third concludes with balances about paths taken and achievements, so as pending challenges and horizons to reach.
