Aristotle dealt with animals in four kinds of writings: biological, psychological, political and ethical writings. In this paper, I go through some of his most relevantcontributions to the question of the consideration of animals. Specifically, Ihighlight and try to analyse a sentence about killing animals, which is attributed toEmpedocles, and assumed to be right by Aristotle in his Rhetorics. In my view, thissentence shows that Aristotle tends to accept the moral consideration of animals.
