Abstract

Smart schools involve thinking about and developing organizations that favour active, meaningful and diverse learning and also the well-being of all its members, both students and teachers. In this sense, this type of school requires professionals committed to their role and adequately trained in emotional and social competences, in addition to didactic and pedagogical ones. This article presents the innovative experiences developed during three academic years in the Bachelor's Degree in Primary Education at Murcia University, with the aim of analyzing the perception of students and teachers on the planning, development and results achieved, through a descriptive non-experimental study. Information was obtained from a total of N=313 students and 5 teachers. The instrument used to collect information in this study was a questionnaire adapted from the Student Engagement Questionnaire (SEQ). The results show that the application of the different methodologies has a favourable impact on training and conscious learning, highlighting the development of intended competences which include, among others: learning to be an effective member of a group, developing the ability to judge alternative points of view, taking responsibility for one's own learning, being able to communicate effectively or feeling confident with a broad range of skills, and being able to communicate effectively.
