Abstract

The Organic Law 2/2006, of 3 May of Education (L.O.E. Ley Orgánica de Educación), have developed legislative basis that exercises an undoubted influence on the structure, functioning and organization of schools. In this work, we make an analysis of the new law that regulates the attention to the diversity in the Autonomous Community of Galicia (DOG of 21 December 2011). From this analysis, and after a deepening in the attention to the diversity through a study carried out by the Team of Investigation in Educational Diversity (E.I.D.E. Equipo de Investigación en Diversidad Educativa, from the University of Vigo), we highlight the need for structural improvements regarding coordination between institutions and educational agents, in-service teacher training, direct educational attention, resources and measures of attention to diversity.
