Abstract

Considering paradigmatic houses built in the late XIXth and early XXth like a virtual starting point and a symmetry axis between the past and the future of yucatecan houses, will be made a critical comparative analysis between those elements seen in the homes of the viceroyalty, and then in the properties of twentieth century.Also, this paper analyzed the role of the spaces between the inside and the outside, such as links and joints between constructed spaces closest to these, its materiality or constructive conditions and its significance in cultural and social contexts for each of the periods in question.
