Abstract

This article seeks to deal with the novel titled Muñeca brava by author Lucía Guerra as a testimony of the Chilean context of the 1990s and the second wave of the feminist agenda. Her reflections on the body, space and language as places where political power is manifested make up an important contribution to Chilean literature of that decade, as well as to feminist literary criticism. Through the figure of the prostitute and the concept of territorialization I will deal with how power has a spatial and symbolic dimension that should be addressed when studying the representations of women in literature.
