The Dialog between Novel and Cinema. A reading of Campo francés by Max Aub, from Benito Pérez Galdós.
Main Article Content
Abstract
In 1965 Max Aub published Campo francés, a book that aims to represent the experience of refugees from the Spanish Civil War in the French concentration camps. With this objective, the book adopts a form that mixes the cinema and the novel, with the dialogue-novels of Benito Pérez Galdós as an explicit precedent. Based on this reference, the article analyzes the influence of the Canary writer in the conception of Campo francés.
