Problemas para una definición del aspecto Prospectivo

Abstract

The vast majority of papers on <ir a + infinitive> are devoted to underpin the differences with cantaré and cantaría. The present contribution, instead, addresses some theoretical questions, taken for granted in previous analysis, but which are crucial when describing the meaning and category of this expression. Namely, we concentrate, on the one hand, on the temporal structures available and the theoretical problems they raise; on the other, on the still unsettled question of whether the content of the so called Prospective aspect is by nature modal or aspectual.
