Abstract

This article is a methodical proposal on the syntactic values of Spanish se in order to teach the grammatical component in ELE (= Español como Lengua Extranjera / Spanish as Foreign Language). The definition of grammatical competence is given in the first place. Then, the theoretical bases of such proposal are explained taking into consideration the reports between the syntactic and semantic functions, since the grammatical values of se are intimately connected to the semantic nature of the subject. This study is divided in two large parts, relating respectively to the pronominal and morphemic functions. As for the suggesting orientations to teachers there are two wide blocks of didactic proposals enclosed into the usual levels according to the Frame of Reference: A1 and A2 (basic user), B1 and B2 (independent user) and C1 and C2 (qualified user). Finally, there are included a pattern of valuation for this didactic unit, some points for reflection, and a commented basic bibliography.
