Abstract

A fundamental paradigm in contemporary science which breaks away from the deterministic mechanism is called «theories of chaos» (physical and mathematical theories); a chaotic system is a system whose disorder or randomness can be explained by non-deterministic principles which, in turn, could potentially be investigated. Chaology, therefore, constitutes an epistemological program that can significantly explain both natural and cultural phenomena. The application of chaos to science has been rather intense: meteorology, psychology, cardiology, epidemiology, electronics, linguistics, etc. Because we consider that this discipline behaves in a «chaotic» way, in this paper we propose an analysis and interpretation of terminology from the theories of chaos, not only from a methodological and epistemological perspective, but also since it is a complex object of study.
