Abstract
The concept of literacy is central to the suggestions being developed in the last decade in the curriculum models governing educational practice at all levels of education. It’s a matter social concern and respect for governments and politicians, employers, parents, and society as a whole.
Throughout this paper describes how the competences originate in education, contextualize the current historical moment, and discuss how they develop in the curriculum of compulsory education in Galicia. The theoretical review of different approaches allows us to conclude that in these documents digital literacy is understood narrowly, as only provides skills, knowledge and attitudes towards information, leaving out one of the basic principles of Web 2.0, a production.
