Abstract
In this essay we adopt a gender perspective in order to examine the problems of quantifying women’s work and analyze the activities related to the fish in Galicia. Our interest is to show how the deep transformations of the town, especially those regarding the reconstruction of the fishing sector, and the professionalization of the shellfish sector directly affect women.
