Resumen

La confianza es un valor importante para la comprensión y fortalecimiento de las relaciones humanas. Se traduce en la expectativa de persistencia y el cumplimiento del orden natural y moral, y sostiene una existencia verdaderamente significativa. Fomenta interacciones, cooperación, empatía y bienestar entre las personas. Les ayuda a responder eficazmente a los desafíos diarios y a construir una sociedad más digna, fraterna y menos conflictiva. Esta investigación busca comprender el nivel de confianza de los estudiantes universitarios en varios aspectos de su vida académica, particularmente en sus relaciones con colegas, maestros, familias e instituciones académicas y comunitarias, entre otros. Aunque los estudiantes indican que tienen mucha confianza en su familia cercana, amigos y colegas, su confianza en las instituciones académicas y en la comunidad en general es muy frágil. La mayoría de los estudiantes involucrados en esta investigación realizan muy poco trabajo voluntario o filantrópico, pero son conscientes de que tales actividades tienen un impacto positivo en su conversión en buenos ciudadanos. Afirman que el liderazgo es un valor al que aspiran, y expresan una fuerte motivación para convertirse en empresarios en una variedad de áreas de negocios. Al comparar las diferentes opciones educativas realizadas por los estudiantes, parece que quienes asisten a cursos de ciencias sociales están más motivados para trabajar en la comunidad que los estudiantes involucrados en otras áreas de estudio que tienden a favorecer sus intereses individuales.
