The article revisits the main aspects of current Neuroscience and recalls some of its long history highlighting recent discoveries, especially those related to the child’s brain. Taking all that into account, author shows some implications for Early Childhood Education in the quest for better understanding that organ of learning, betting on its possibilities and intervening to promote the best opportunities, so that each person can develop his / her potential to the maximum.
