Abstract

This article discusses the meaning and the social senses of education in early childhood. The focus is put on the urgent need of giving a new meaning to it, placing it as a right of the newborns. Education in the early years of life is usually seen not by itself or as a right, but from an adult-centered perspective, as a way to balance adult responsibilities. In this way - and that is questioned in the article- it is hidden its character of right, of space of childhood construction, of development and learning.
