Abstract

In recent times, few art forms pose as many questions to the formulation of art as Contemporary Opera. This text asks itself about some founding aspects such us the openness to the artwork’s truth and rethinking the Canon in the artwork. This paper deals with the role of Galician Composer Fernando Buide's Opera A amnesia de Clío within the framework of contemporary paradigm. A comparative analysis regarding differents 21st Operas from an hermeneutic perspective enables us to consider this Opera' contributions to the aesthetic experience in Contemporary art.
