Abstract

The aim of this article is to address the National Colonization Institute (INC) activities linked to the capacity of the aesthetics of contemporary art in order to adapt to the needs of these isolated cultural communities. By highlighting the relationship between artists and architects in the churches from Levante and Extremadura towns, the aim is to assure the preservation of the social, urban and cultural component, as well as to promote them as resources for sustainability and conservation. The methodology is based on town visits, interviews and a photographic compilation of works of sacred art.
