Abstract
This paper has three objectives: 1. Locate the role of the Institute of Educational Sciences (ICE) at the University of Santiago in the context of financing, research and training. 2. To account for some contributions that the Institute has made to the community in which it is inserted at the level of training and research in the 2006-2010 period, and 3. Draw some conclusions and reflections on future prospects.
