Abstract

It is intended in this work to offer the peculiar point of view of some Christian pilgrims to the Holy Land who have the privilege of observing the preparations or the development of a pilgrimage to Mecca. Although it is not very frequent that Christian pilgrimage books collect descriptions or reflections on Muslim pilgrimages, the coincidence of some enclaves of the respective pilgrimages allow to have testimonies such as those of Antonio de Aranda, Pedro Escobar Cabeza de Vaca, Juan Ceverio de Vera or Antonio del Castillo, who very graphically express the appreciation of the other in circumstances that are partly coincident and at the same time opposed for reasons of religion.
