From Utopia to Reality. Casamicciola after the earthquake of 1883.

Abstract
Italy has been and it is the country of Europe which suffered more earthquakes throughout the history. Many of these teluric movements, entailed the destruction of large urban centers that had to be rebuilt ex novo. One of the most echoed at international level was the one happened in Ischia in 1883, which affected, especially, Casamicciola. Through the analysis of historiography and archive documentation, this article proposes a meditation about the process of reconstruction undertaken in this town.
