Abstract

The revolutionary processes that developed in Latin America after the Cuban Revolution were
marked by the victory of the insurrectional Cuban experience and thus possessed specific characteristics.
In this paper we want to approach the concept of revolution used by these movements and
investigate to what extent it includes the woman, that is if she is included at all. Analyzing the most
relevant theorists of these revolutionary organizations we find that in the concept of revolution used
by these groups the woman’s presence is kept to a minimum. We will then compare these findings
to the revolutionary practice.
