Abstract

The last phase of Spanish emigration to America (after the end of the Second World war) presented certain distinguishing features with regard to the massive outflow (1880-1930) on as it was controlled and orientated by the recipient countries, but also very controlled by the Spanish government. This affected its composition predominantly women and children.
