Abstract

This paper aims to discuss the issue venereologist wich was one of the major themes in the Old School Teaching of Medicine in Mexico City between 1880 and 1910. Modernism and naturalism were aesthetic media used to support medical discourses, as an alternative to young people about sexual prophylaxis. The medical iconography Atlas of Spain and Germany are the best example of speeches and graphic art as a platform for understanding the history of scientific interdependence between Europe and Mexico as well as representations of the body, with respect to sexual hygienevisual culture of prevention.
