Abstract

The essay deals with the topic of music training for generalist preschool teachers. It is in three parts. In the first part, we present some relevant conceptual bases, such as the definition of aptitude for music as a quality present in every individual and therefore distinct from the more specific quality usually defined "talent", which tends to involve a smaller amount of individuals. In the second part, starting from a recent survey carried out in the schools of the Italian Province of Alto Adige - Südtirol, we examine the Italian situation and the current guidelines for music in kindergarten. In the third part, finally, in the light of all this, we present a possible curriculum for the musical training of preschool teachers as an example.
