Analysis of the teaching materials used in a 2 year old children theatre play

Abstract
The purpose of this research is to analyse the teaching materials that the Paraiso Theatre Company of Vitoria-Gasteiz has created for the theater-play Kubi, which is aimed at 0-3 year- old children; as well as to evaluate the possibilities that the training activities offer to the teachers of the Municipal Nursery Schools of the city. The concern of this investigation is related to the responsibility that the research team has for the initial and permanent teacher training. Taking into account that theatre and dramatization are considered tools with high pedagogic value, this study will analyze from a qualitative perspective, the teaching materials used by the Company with those responsible of the training in Nursery Schools. Results are obtained from the analysis of the teaching materials, from the observations made over the training workshops, and from the presentations given to the teachers about the materials. The research group has found key points of interest for the training. It is shown that the training activities conducted with the teachers are dealing with aspects related with socio-emotional development and spatial perception in early age. The training experiences of the educators showed improvements, which offer an opportunity to approach the school to daily life.
