Abstract

In view of the marked uncertainty resulting from the pandemic, public conversations have been the scenario for the debate of ideas and political speeches with a view to the electoral processes in Colombia. These dialogues have been focused on both current and structural issues related to the functioning of the State prior to the 2022 presidential elections, and have been framed around the candidates "at the top of the polls" of the latest surveys. In order to identify the main territories of conversation that will mark the political debate of the upcoming elections, a search for qualitative information on these pre-candidates was conducted on digital media platforms, between April 2020 and April 2021, using a frequency method to identify the intensity of topics. As a result, this work found that education, gender issues, youth unemployment and the situation of Venezuelan migrants will be some of the debates that will mark the political agenda.
