The Myth of the Origin

Abstract
This article presents an interpretation since Plato to Johann Gottfried Herder ordered by the figure of myth. Inside the collective constitution proposed by both thinkers, the myth is a significant resource. The first one, that proposes a social order system, bases his persuasive method through the use of myth that it goes beyond of a simple expressive resource. The second one, with a critique to the cosmopolitan France, poses the idea of the national identity rooted into the originary myth. It is as well as two perspectives allow to see the image of the myth of origin and its relation with the State as a vital notion on the construction, not only cultural, but also social and historical of all civilization: the myth as an access door to the origin, what it’s explain beyond words, and the mirror whereby the emergence of every society can be seen.
