Abstract

Deconstruction, following Jean-Luc Nancy’s and Jacques Derrida’s philosophical paths, expresses the limits of ‘being in common’, challenging the traditional concepts of fraternity, friendship or democracy. The following text intends to reflect upon tangencies and clearances between Derrida and Nancy, considering the relevance of ‘living together’ as a political and ethical injunction. We intend to sketch a thin –yet decisive– line that marks the difference and, therefore, the singularity of each of these thoughts in contemporary philosophy.
