Abstract

To think about the rural population is to think about the tradition and extinct manners of life. In this text we want to analyze the reinvention of some rural peripheral villages, through the arrival and acceptance of experiences of contemporary art they have could create a sustainable resource that differentiates them and that turns them to placing as a tourist claim. We will analyze with the testimonies of art managers and artists the history of this transformation and learning that includes very varied initiatives, examples as Montalbán (Cordova), Genalguacil (Malaga) or Fanzara (Castellón) among others. We want to reflect on the collateral effects of this phenomenon, the creation of new identities or the recoveryin order to enhance the cultural expressions of the territory, manners of life and oral tradition, in conviviality or dissent with the introduction of these new uses of the territory.
